The backbone of our company

Ulrich

The Innovator

B&W Managing Director, Ulrich "Uli" Buder, is not only
a technophile - he is "crazy about technology". No wonder B&W conducts its own research and development to find new and innovative solutions for the market.

"These ideas come from very private incentives: I see, for example, that my power supply for the piano does not work properly, that the battery for the baby monitor is too weak or that the filter for the vacuum cleaner could be of higher quality - and from these everyday problems, completely new ideas and products arise!"

This passion for technology began when Uli was 16. Together with his mother's husband, he founded the company Buder & Wolfram, named after both surnames, in 2004 as a private corporation (GbR) and set up the first warehouse in Großröhrsdorf. The company grew so quickly that in 2006 it changed its legal status to that of a GmbH (Ltd -
limited liability company) and already had ten employees after the first year.

Nevertheless, it is still important for Uli to maintain this initial family feeling within the new structures. Flat hierarchies, a joint further development of the company and a cordial cooperation are the basis for the cooperation of his team at B&W.

After the old warehouse had already become too small in 2006, B&W, after a stopover in Kamenz after a long search and 15 months conversion time, moved into its current location in November 2014 in the former factory halls of a solar cell specialist in Bischofswerda.

"We have created a highly functional warehouse with which we are not only equipped for the future, but are also so centrally located in Europe that we can deliver our products quickly and efficiently!"
